Our First Concert with Bobs and Lolo

23 03 2013

This may be uncomfortable for some to read: I listen to some of my twins’ music even when they aren’t here.

When my oldest daughter was younger, from time to time I would play Bananaphone by Raffi. There were some really lovely songs on that cd.

These days I pop in Bobs and Lolo, specifically Action Packed. Rachel loves dancing to the music. It is such a happy and lovely cd for all of us. It melts my heart when Rachel sings “Something Special” to Daniel and I tear up a bit when I sing it to them. Read the rest of this entry »

Evolution of Pancake Making

18 11 2012

Multi-Testing Mommy (aka @MultiTestingMom) was one of the first bloggers I started following on Twitter.

Before following MTM, I was only dimly aware of these people referred to as “mommy bloggers” and what they did. The reviews, the giveaways and the large volume of posts and tweets fascinated me.

One day my conversations with Multi-Testing Mommy turned to waffles. I had a new waffilizer and poor recipes. She had a good recipe and shared it along with some thoughts on technique. With waffle success having been achieved, I bestowed on Multu-Testing Mommy the title of #wafflequeen. In exchange for the recipe, I promised a video that only took forever to make. Actually, it led to a three part video collection that is only slightly less boring than my video about vacuuming with my beloved Dyson.

Imagine my delight when Multi-Testing Mommy asked me to write about pancake making.

Please take a peek at my guest post complete with recipe, Pancake Fun With @GingerheadDad.

Spoiler alert: chocolate chips are important to the unfolding history of our pancake making.
